Ronald McDonald House

 

We are a proud supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities

In 2022, we proudly donated 30 weighted blankets to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to support children (and their accompanying families) required to attend hospitals in Victoria. This in-kind donation represents a donation of approximatley $3,000. 

Koala Comforts has commited itself to giving back to the community around us to support organistationns helping individuals doing it tough. Therefore we will continue to support Ronald McDonald House into the future.

 

About RMHC

As you may know, RMHC provides a home-away-from-home for families with a child being treated for a serious illness or injury at one of the country’s leading pediatric hospitals.  Every night, we are able to offer families somewhere warm, welcoming and comforting to stay close to their sick child. 

RMHC  knows that families are stronger when they’re together. Children need familiar faces around them when they are unwell: siblings, parents and grandparents. We are able to help families maintain as much normality as possible and allow them to escape the clinical world of medicine. We bring a sense of comfort to their new routine and give families the time and space they need to relax and recharge so that the health of their child can be their main priority.
